Counselling

Sharing your story can be such a powerful step in the journey towards self discovery and healing. Stories are what make up who we believe we are today. They can shape (and limit!) who we believe we can become in the future. Working with common themes and narratives can help us process past traumas, manage current day-to-day stresses, and define goals for the future.

Depending on the client's needs and goals, I incorporate other talk therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Tapping, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Art Therapy.

What to Expect

Clients arrive to the office or join a video or phone call. The appointment time belongs to the client. Topics of discussion depend on the client, their immediate priority, and their long-term goals. Care is taken to ensure clients feel safe, heard, and accepted while sharing. This is a time for dialogue and discussion to help resolve past experiences, find peace in the present, and overcome personal obstacles.

From spring to fall, I offer Walk & Talk therapy. During the months between March and September, there will be an online booking option for this. A consultation call is required prior and at times I require an in-office appointment beforehand. The walk will take place on one of the many lovely local trails!
